Large Salt and Pepper Collection

Salt and Pepper collection
Salt and Pepper collection

Our “Pick” this week is just in. A large collection of salt and pepper shakers, many are hand painted early 20th century. They are mainly single salt or peppers so this could be a great opportunity to replace a broken heirloom or make up a set of similar styles. I have seen in this mix shakers made in Bavaria, Japan, Nippon (Early Japan) and Czechoslovakia. The group is mostly hand painted porcelain, there is some luster ware and some nice glass shakers.

Tina Turns the Country On

IMG_2446

This week I am highlighting one of the many new records that we have recently acquired. From 1973 we have the second Tina Turner solo album “Tina Turns the Country On!” Country and Western hasn’t sounded this good since Ray Charles released Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music back in 1962. Just like with Ray’s album, Country songs become R&B and sound like it was always meant to be. Come in soon to see our wide selection of vintage records.

Dollar a Second

TV’s Dollar a Second, the home game. This weeks “Pick” is the hard to find Dollar a Second game, based on the Jan Murray game show from the 1950’s. In this game the players preform wacky stunts for money and pay penalties for failure. The game has many parts and the instructions but I am unsure if it is complete there is no parts list in the instruction book. I am sure that it is close to complete.  Also the game would have been produced between 1954-1956. Stop in soon to see this and some of our other fun collectable games
