This week our “Pick” is another treasure from a far off country. It is a beautiful hand painted Japanese Satsuma Ginger Jar. This lovely earthenware vessel is adorned with resting figures, Japanese text and gilding. While it is not antique it is a very attractive piece and shows the great skill of the artist who created it.
This week we have another interesting board game as our “Pick of the Week”. Presenting Risiko! or the Italian version of Risk. The Italian version has many differences when compared to it’s American counterpart. The board and artwork are diferent and the pieces are little tanks. I can only assume that the game play is similar to the American version as the instructions are in Italian. This game has never been played and is in great condition.
Our “Pick” this week is a great Jack Daniel’s collectable. A Framed Tennessee Squire Association Deed. The Tennessee Squire Association is an organization formed of prominent people in business, entertainment and the professions. This deed was issued in 1974 to William L. Bryan. The deed entitles the member to a small plot of land (Very small I think) on the Jack Daniel’s property. This deed is signed by D.E. Motlow. Attached to the back of the frame is the welcome letter that accompanied the deed.
