This Saturday and Sunday (12/3 & 12/4) from 11 to 6 is the annual Mega Mall Holiday Open House. This is a great time to find those Holiday bargains. There will be mall wide sales, refreshments and hourly door prizes. Suburban Antiquarian will be offering 20% off at our booth M-9. In addition to that I will be there Sunday walking the floor and making deals. Come by this weekend for some fun and great treasure hunting.
This week our “Pick” is going to Discogs. It’s The Mugwumps, who are the Mugwumps you might ask. Well, in the summer of 1964, before they were part of the Mamas and the Papas, Cass Elliot and Denny Doherty along with Jim Hendricks (The Lamp of Childhood) and Zal Yanovsky (The Lovin’ Spoonful) got together to record these nine songs. In these early recordings it is easy to see that these people were on their way to greatness. It is folk, pop and full of heart.
The new booth is coming along very nicely. For those of you who may not know we have closed our brick and mortar location and moved to Booth M9 at the Mega Mall, 15487 S. U.S. Hwy 27, Lansing, MI. If you’ve never been to the Mega Mall you are in for a treat. It’s the largest Antiques and Collectables Mall in the state. There you can find just about anything you might be looking for.
